New Year...New Thoughts....

Ok...It has been way too long. I must apologize to my loyal followers....I mean, follower. :) This length of time has been due to my due to my new job in packaging. It has been a whirlwind 5 months!

I am totally loving it and can't wait to see what the first year will bring as far as learning and growing and finding out more about myself. Hard to believe that 2008 is done and over...what a year!

I am excited about 2009 and ready to tackle new challenges. My mind is made up that I want bigger and better challenges...I have sets my sites on tackling something with the town of Fort Mill. It is where I was born and raised. I want to do something that will make a difference.

As many of you know, Brian and I have tried to have a child without success for many years now. We have decided to put those hopes away and try to count our many blessings that God has given us. They are many. My family and friends that make up my life and surround me are so encompassing that I know it is enough. I am thankful for a husband that truly gets me. It is enough.

That being said, I want to make a difference in other ways....so, I have a meeting scheduled with our town mayor to discuss planning a party for our town. I love my adopted home of New Orleans and want to think that we can bring some of that flavor here. I see no reason that the poor souls that live here can't experience some sort of fun, besides raising kids and working out. There has to be more to life.....right?!?! I want to help found and organize an event that will go down in the history of FM.

So, we'll see....I am under no illusions that we will have an Endymion or an Orpheus parade here....let's get real. First, there is no Harry Connick, Jr. to host one. But, there is room to enjoy and start our own traditions that we and our kids and grandkids can enjoy.

More on that later....busy, busy, busy....have a marvelous day!!!
